How does it work?

You decide what you want to learn (see topics). We set up a time to meet. I will come to your home, teach, answer your questions, show you how to practice on your own.

What if I do not know what topic to choose?

We will determine your interests and your current level. Then I will create a customized study plan for you.

My child does not like learning. Can you help?

Yes! I do not ask my students to memorize formulas or do endless exercises. I make the subject interesting and easy. This motivates students and they engage with the material without even realizing that they are studying.

How many lessons do I need?

Only one lesson might be all you need. I see that many students dislike math for one reason or the other. But when I show them what math really is, they think: Oh, that's interesting! And that moment changes their lives forever. When they go to school they fully understand what their teacher is saying, and the time spent in class becomes meaningful and even enjoyable. After this "enlightening" the way they use the Internet changes, the way they use their phones changes, the way they look at the world changes. Now we are all surrounded by the magic of technology, computer networks, self-driving cars, artificial intelligence, robots and space exploration. All of that is described by math. It is getting harder and harder to avoid math especially when it comes to choosing a profession. The sooner this eye-opening will happen to you, the more prepared you will be to embrace the future.

I want to learn Galois Theory, Tensors, and Lie Algebra. How long will it take?

I will explain abstract and complicated concepts in an easy to understand, intuitive way, with examples and practical applications. I will also show how to read and understand literature and advanced math books. From then on you will be able to continue on your own, and I will help when you get stuck. It might take several months or longer to really understand and master certain topics.

I am homeschooling my children and I need to refresh my calculus.

Even if you forgot calculus completely, I will introduce it to you in a modern way, with explanations that you will find obvious. This will give you foundations that you will never forget.
